Along the K. Kokkiya River, Fergana ridge. A.E. Dovzhikov, K. Musatov in 1941 (336, p.18). Previously distinguished under the name of the aleurolite t. (382, table 13; 383, table 5, p.3; 445; 448). E.A. Repman". P. 446.
Synonym: Kokkininskaya Suite, Коккиинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Conglomerates, sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites), claystones with pebbles of quartz and chert. Thickness 70-500m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Unconformably overlies the Paleozoic
Upper contact
Conformably overlies the Tuyuk Fm
Regional extent
Central part of the Fergana ridge. Exposed by boreholes in the Fergana depression.
