Along the K. Kokkiya River, Fergana ridge. A.E. Dovzhikov, K. Musatov in 1941 (336, p.18). Previously distinguished under the name of the aleurolite t. (382, table 13; 383, table 5, p.3; 445; 448). E.A. Repman". P. 446.

Lithology and Thickness

Conglomerates, sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites), claystones with pebbles of quartz and chert. Thickness 70-500m.

Fossils

Contains large plant remains - Neocalamites nordenskioldii (Heer) Kryasht. et Pryn., Sphenobaiera paucipartita Nath. and a spore-pollen complex.


Age 

Included in the composition of the Lower Jurassic by the Samarkand conference of 1971. M.I. Brik (120) and V.N. Ognev (336) attributed it to the Upper Triassic. For schematic stratigraphic presentation it is considered Hettangian-Sinemurian
